Incredible food, charming restuarant and staff. This has become a worthwhile pilgrimage for some of the best food around. I personally loved the lasagna and chicken parmigiana. A refreshing change to see a strong representation of Northern Italian cuisine
Absolutely delicious pizza with so much flavor, an incredible crust, and ingredients that taste like they're straight from Italy. The couple that own it are from Italy and are sweet as all get out. You can taste that this is their passion and they are absolutely adorable. I'm coming back to try their pastas, but I'll absolutely get another margarita pizza to go! The capris salad had a really nice vinegarette and the cheese was so light and fresh tasting. I think this is my new favorite spot Authentic and made with love! It's byob, and they do have wine glasses for you. Update: I did come again! I had the to go order for the two margarita pizzas with meatballs at 4pm today! I'll be back with friends very soon!
FOOD WAS SOO GOOD!!! I will be coming back again to order more food definitely again. But be warned that you won’t notice how much you ate 😵💫😵💫. I order pizza and before I knew it I wanted more!! So I ordered 3 cannolis. The spaghetti was a game changer, one of the best I have had in a while. They say if you want good food, GET IT FROM THE SOURCE!!!
Being originally from Chicago we might be pizza snobs and nothing usually measures up but when we heard the owners of Express on Tin Top were from Verona Italy we had to check them out. Well, we were served complimentary focaccia bread and olive oil while we waited and it was some of the best we ever had. The pizza which was also very flavorful came out in just a few minutes. The crust was especially tender. The sweet tea was also right on. Overall it was a fantastic lunch and the prices were very reasonable. It is so nice to find and support a family run restaurant that really delivers genuine homemade meals. Nice job guys, we will be back soon.
Love this place. I am so sick of chains and fast food. Came here with a family member. We had the caprese salad, margarita pizza and the tiramisu. Absolutely delish! Best pizza AROUND BY FAR! Lovely owners. Will be going back! Enjoy everyone!
I have heard many great things about this little restaurant between Granbury and Weatherford on Tin Top Hwy. I decided to finally try it last night, and boy was I NOT disappointed. It is a small, cozy dining room but plenty of room (there were 3 other tables occupied when we got there). The server was nice and friendly, started our experience off well. It is BYOB but they do have wine glasses available if you bring your own bottle. I got the spaghetti with meatballs and my mom got the lasagna and tomato basil soup. My spaghetti was the best spaghetti I’ve had since being back from Europe! The texture of the noodles was perfect and the tomato sauce was on the sweeter side instead of super tangy, which is what I prefer. I tasted my mom’s food as well and it was delicious! I’ll be dreaming of that spaghetti until I go back again!
While in Weatherford on Sunday, I was with a friend and we searched for a place to eat and came across Express on Tin Top. After reading a few reviews, I learned that the restaurant was owned by an Italian couple from Verona. In Weatherford? We knew we had to check this out. The restaurant is in a small retail outlet about 15 minutes outside of downtown. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Betty and told about the specials. They had a ravioli stuffed with brisket and a pappardelle. We opted for the brisket ravioli, and a vegetable pizza. While we waited for our food, Betty gave us two wonderful pieces of focaccia with olive oil, a spicy olive oil, and vinegar. Our food was fresh, had a great taste, and the portions were perfect. I shared some of the pizza with my friend because I couldn’t finish all of it. In spite of this, we did decide to split a blueberry panna cotta because the food was so tasty. Dessert was equally good. Betty said their busiest time is weekend dinners. They do have a drive thru service for takeout as well. Her husband Nicola came out from the kitchen to ask us how the food was. Nice service, a great Sunday lunch with Italian flair, and an unexpected surprise in Weatherford. Support this small business and make the drive out of town.
This is the best Italian food I've had in decades! The owners are from Italy! No overcooked pasta here. The seasoning is perfect. It's a small location but so perfect. The bread is not the American chewy bread you get at other places. It's light, crisp and lightly seasoned delight for your mouth. The servings are perfectly portioned. We'll be adding this to our choice preferences. It is byob if that's your desire with your meal. Make the drive, you'll be happy you did.
